Research Interests
I am a PhD candidate in the field of plant physiology at the chair of Ecosystem Physiology, University of Freiburg. My research mainly focuses on water and carbon fluxes in natural forest ecosystems and how those are influenced by changing meteorological conditions and interactions with other tree species. During my PhD - as part of the ECOSENSE-Project (SFB-1537) - I will investigate gas exchange, VOC fluxes and carbon stable isotopes on the leaf level in a temperate forest stand using a novel in-situ multi-cuvette laser spectroscopy system.
Ecosystem physiology, stable isotope ecology, soil-plant-atmosphere interactions, temperate forest ecosystems, plant-plant interactions, water and carbon fluxes, biogenic volatile organic compounds
