I am a PhD student in the project Isodrones (TU Braunschweig) and am a guest scientists at the Ecosystem Physiology in Freiburg. In my PhD am collecting data sets to resolve short-term dynamics of plant water uptake in response to varying environmental conditions and plant parameters. Herein, water stable isotopes are an important tool and I am working on further developing novel methods that enable their in situ measurement and apply them in field studies.
Research Interests
Root water uptake, deep roots, water stable isotopes, resource partitioning, ecohydrology, stable isotope ecology, soil-plant-atmosphere interactions, water relations
