Research Interests
I am a graduate of the master program environmental sciences at the university of Freiburg with a focus on soil ecology and global change. My core question is how vegetation impacts belowground ecology, especially nutrient availability and microbial communities. Therefore, I am investigating primary and secondary metabolic pathways by analysing soil respiration and emissions of soil volatile organic compounds (VOCs), with a methodological focus on proton-transfer-reaction time-of-flight mass-spectrometry (PTR-TOF-MS) and stable isotope ecology.
